Melissa is a Partner and the Managing Director of the Porter Novelli Atlanta office. Most recently, Melissa served as executive vice president and deputy managing director in Atlanta, working hand-in-hand with Brad MacAfee who she succeeds in the role. A 17-year Porter Novelli veteran, Melissa has extensive experience in strategic planning, training, facilitation, team development and strategic message development and positioning. She has led strategic planning in Porter Novelli’s London and Atlanta offices. Melissa brings two decades of experience in training, facilitation, team development, message development and positioning. As a trained moderator, she masters the delicate balance of ensuring that all participants are engaged while also staying focused and on task. She works closely with her clients to outline objectives for each planning session and then tailors the agenda to meet the needs and personality of the group. In addition to serving as a facilitator in the session, Melissa is a strategic guide helping clients determine and navigate towards their desired destination.For the past ten years, Melissa has taught Social Marketing at Emory University’s Graduate School of Public Health, where she was awarded Emory Adjunct Faculty Honoree for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring. Melissa also taught Speech Communication for her alma mater, York College of Pennsylvania.Melissa is also a certified professional coach.
