Jeff Jacobs serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at OCLC., he is responsible for the Global Information Technology strategy and all of the company's IT assets that support OCLC’s members and staff employees and to help drive strategic company priorities, spanning the United States, Canada, and 11 countries in Europe including Australia and New Zealand. This includes worldwide application development, the company’s private cloud, IT security, data management, technology infrastructure, telecommunication networks and data center operations. He is the recipient of Computerworld's 2015 Premier 100 IT Leaders award. Jeff’s career spans more than two decades with global Fortune 100 companies in industries including financial services, medical & pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, packaged goods, and products and services for the nonprofits communities. Prior to joining OCLC, Jeff was Chief Technology Officer at JPMorgan Chase, and also held the titles of Senior Vice President and Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase., where he was responsible for leading the company’s enterprise-wide digital information systems initiatives. Previously, Jeff served in various technology leadership roles for WellPoint (Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield), Cardinal Health and Exact Software. He began his career in technology in the 1980’s, where he grew with the industry serving in varying roles and increasing levels of responsibility. Jeff attended Youngstown State University and holds a certificate in Executive Leadership from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza School of Business. He is an active member of the Dublin Ohio community and volunteers his time to local programs, such as Dublin Youth Athletics where he serves as Baseball Commissioner, Baseball Coach and Softball Coach. He enjoys spending time with his three kids and (of course) all things technology.
