Chris Lown is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Freddie Mac. In this position he is responsible for the company's financial controls, accounting, ESG, investor relations, financial planning and reporting, tax, capital oversight and compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley. He was previously EVP and CFO at Navient Corp. Prior to joining Navient in 2017, he was a managing director in the Financial Institutions Group at Morgan Stanley, where he co-led the Global Financial Technology and North America Banks and Diversified Finance investment banking practices. Chris joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 from UBS and held various positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, Peregrine Investment Bank, and Credit Lyonnaise Global Emerging Markets before UBS. Chris holds an MBA from The University of Virginia.
