As a professional marketer with more than 15 years’ experience, I am that person. My marketing communications skills are complemented by my special events and protocol experience. Early in my career, as an Operations Manager for a Destination Management Company, I executed more than 30 customized special events annually. Prior to that, as the Special Events Coordinator for the Television Department and Manager of the Conventions and Expositions Department at the National Association of Broadcasters, I planned events and promotions, as well as coordinated logistics for the association’s annual convention (the 3rd largest in the nation). I began my career as an officer in the United States Army. As a captain, I was selected to serve as the Protocol Officer for the Military District of Washington where I planned and executed ceremonies/special events for The President of the United States, the State Department, Department of Defense, and Department of the Army.
