I am a creative Design Research Manager with fifteen years’ experience in innovative product development, collecting meaningful consumer insights and translating them into actionable opportunities in a way that aligns and leads project teams and management to arrive at truly disruptive product and service innovation. I am passionate about building things – teams, capabilities, approaches. My education spans the Social Sciences and Design, which allows me to approach problems analytically as well as emotionally. My work experience spans consulting and corporate, which allowed me to develop strong front-end design thinking skills, provides different frames of reference from which to approach product development, and gives me both the breadth and depth needed to approach complex socio-technological systems and problems. I believe in holistic thinking, understanding the user’s entire environment of use, getting prototypes and experience simulations into users’ hands early, deep cross-functional analysis, and questioning assumptions and paradigms.
