Longtime banking executive Jim McLemore has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of MidSouth Bank since mid-2017. Before ascending to the top post, Mr. McLemore served as MidSouth Bank’s Chief Financial Officer for eight years.Mr. McLemore has more than three decades of banking experience, having worked for three high-growth publicly traded banks with assets in excess of $1 billion. His experience includes the successful execution of two initial public offerings, two follow-on offerings and the successful completion of more than 10 M&A transactions. One of Mr. McLemore’s core competencies has been the build-out and development of highly effective finance staffs. A results-driven leader, he has routinely accomplished that objective by bringing a high level of transparency and credibility to every financial institution has served over the past 30 years — while expecting the same of others throughout the enterprise. Prior to joining MidSouth Bank, Mr. McLemore served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Security Bank Corporation from 2002 until July 2009.Mr. McLemore earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Florida, where he was a No. 1 singles tennis player. He and his wife, Ellen, have been married for 30 years and have four children.
