Dr. Wilson is a tenured Professor in the Department of Exceptional Student Education at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Her primary instructional focus is to prepare teachers to implement research-based, effective teaching practices in an effort to improve educational opportunities for children with mild to moderate disabilities and children who are at-risk for academic failure. In her tenure at FAU, she has been the Department Chair, the Director of a Teacher Education Project, taught 21 different courses, authored/co-authored 30+ publications, and presented more than 40 papers at international, national, state, and local conferences. Dr. Wilson has also been principal investigator/co-principal investigator of grants totaling more than $4 million dollars.
