I have over 32 years of experience in civil engineering and am proud that 29 of those years have been with Michael Baker International (formerly RBF Consulting). I am working with exceptional people at MBI, which provides consulting services in planning, engineering, and construction. My current mission is to build the Alternative Delivery Method (ADM) Practice for the West Region. My focus is on Social Infrastructure projects, which range from small libraries and community centers to large hospitals and prisons, which range from $5 Million to $500 Million, respectively. I have led a team of engineers on redevelopment, infrastructure, and public works projects. I headed the Public Works and Land Development Department for several years before I started working on building the ADM West Region Practice. I have specific experience in the areas of military engineering, school development, and public works. My recent work includes military engineering for training facilities and infrastructure development at NBC Seal Coastal Campus, CPEN Sewer Infrastructure Upgrades, and Infrastructure Improvements at 29 Palms. My school developments include SDSU, UCSD, FPS, SD Jewish Academy, and Miramar College. I am working on public works projects for the Cities of y of San Diego, Coronado, and the County of San Diego. I am a registered Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional. I have a BS in Civil Engineering from SDSU and an MBA from the UOP. I am also a Certified Quality Control Manager, which is very useful with our design-build and military work. I have been actively involved in professional organizations and the community. I have been a member of ASCE and APWA for 25 years (Past President), and am now on the Board of in the Society of Military Engineers (SAME) and the ACE Mentorship Program. I have served on the SD Community Council for Carmel Mountain Ranch including past Chair and am currently the Chair of on the advisory board of SDSU College of Engineering (CCEE Department).
