Prolific word-nerd, grammar-snob, and former journalist who sold out 12 years ago to make a buck in marketing. I savor working with strategic and innovative brands seeking to build authentic and actionable content. A SoCal native, I relocated to the LA area following three years in London leading marketing efforts for a tech scaleup headquartered in Shoreditch. I shepherded the team through IPO, rebranding, product launches, the company's first acquisition, as well as numerous inaugural activities for the brand—from print ads on the London Underground to coordination of up to 20 tradeshows and events each year. Prior to that, I worked with both digital and creative agencies in the San Francisco spearheading various digital/content marketing efforts for brands in tech, home goods, entertainment, healthcare and telecoms. That said, my true passion lies in language. With beginnings as a staff writer for the LA Times and freelance copywriter, I strive to give an authentic voice to every piece of content I help to produce—be it a blog, tweet, video, print brochure, out of home ad, etc. I’ve woven this diversity of career experience into a holistic approach for developing effective content and marketing efforts—from strategy and execution to promotions and reporting. When not drafting wham-bang copy, or coordinating a major media campaign, you’ll find me painting, watching a cult film, enjoying a glass of Spatlese Riesling, or plodding the streets of LA with my insta-famous pup, @gambitthefrenchie, all while documenting our explorations through photography and snark. If there’s something happening in food, wine, film, tech or the written word... I've got my nose in it or will soon.
