I have worked in the SCADA industry since 1985. During this time, I have gained significant experience with natural gas and products pipeline SCADA Systems. My involvement has been through all life cycle phases, including specification development, purchase, implementation, integration, maintenance, and retirement of systems. In the last few years, I have specialized in leading multiple SCADA System replacement projects which involved selection, funding, working with all stakeholders, ensuring secure solutions, testing per PHMSA requirements, and successful implementations. I also have experience working with multiple RTU's, flow computers, and communication protocols. Additional focus includes work with CyberSecurity professionals as related to the OT / SCADA environment. This is obviously an area of increasing concern across industries. Work includes integration of cyber related products in the OT environment, NIST CyberSecurity framework implementation for SCADA, and participation in IT and OT penetration testing result evaluation. Involvement in SCADA Systems has provided knowledge of pipeline operations, measurement, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and senior level IT Management. In addition to work in SCADA, I also provided Electrical Design functions while working at Transok and Tejas.
