John Camillo, Esq. brings a unique perspective as a mediator/arbitrator having had the benefit of being a litigator in both the state and federal courts as well as serving in both a corporate and legal role for major insurance companies. Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in accounting from Fordham College of Business Administration. Graduated from Fordham Law School and was editor of the Fordham Law Review. Started legal career as a litigator at the Wall Street law firm of Hughes, Hubbard & Reed. Also worked as a litigator for several major New York Law firms before becoming Managing Attorney for J.C. Penney's Legal Department and in charge of Penney's nationwide litigation. Became Senior Executive VP and General Counsel of J.C. Penney Life Insurance Company. Most recently Senior VP, Secretary & GC of Kemper's Home Service Life Insurance Companies. Having served on the boards of numerous insurance industry trade associations, John has expertise and is a regular public speaker on insurance legislative issues and also has published numerous articles on the effectiveness of ADR as a cost-effective alternative to litigation. John currently serves as a mediator and arbitrator for insurance and commercial disputes throughout the United States.
