Prior to Live Oak, was CFO and Executive Vice President of KapStone Paper and Packaging (previously NYSE: KS) from 2007 until its sale to WestRock (NYSE: WRK) in 2018. Helped drive KS’s growth from $224 million in revenue in 2007 to $3.5 billion in 2018 by executing 5 add-on acquisitions and securing cost efficient financings of nearly $3 billion. Played significant role in KS’s sale to WRK for approximately $4.9 billion returning over 1300% to investors who invested in the IPO and held shares until the sale to WRK. Assembled and led the teams who built KS’s administrative functions from scratch including finance, information technology, investor relations, legal, human resources, and risk management functions. Integrated the acquisitions while implementing productivity improvements with state-of-the-art information technology applications. Named to the All-America Executive team as one of America’s best CFO’s in 2014 and 2015 by Institutional Investor and Chicago CFO of the year in 2012 by Financial Executives International. Previously, as the CFO for Uniscribe Professional Services (UPS), developed and executed a company turn-around strategy including restructuring the balance sheet and orchestrating the sale of the company. Before Uniscribe, held positions of increasing responsibility in global companies including Gartner, BP, Whitman Corp., Fortune Brands, and EY.
