The Islamic Development Bank is an international financial institution that aims to foster the economic development and social progress of member countries and Muslim communities individually as well as jointly in accordance with the principles Islamic Law. The functions of the Bank are to participate in equity capital and grant loans for productive projects and enterprises besides providing financial assistance to member countries in other forms for economic and social development. It is also charged with the responsibility of assisting in the promotion of foreign trade especially in capital goods, among member countries; providing technical assistance to member countries; and extending training facilities for personnel engaged in development activities in Muslim countries to conform to the principles of Islamic Law. The present membership of the Bank consists of 56 countries.

I serve as a SAP Key Business User at the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group with its headquarter in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I hold a Master’s degree (MSc) in Telecommunications from Queen Mary, University of London. I have certificates in PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) Practitioner Professional, Business Analysis Practice and Project & Infrastructure Finance from London Business School. Since joining IDB in mid-2009, I have been involved in managing numerous ICT & Energy infrastructure projects relating to telecommunication systems, fiber optic cables, submarine cables, e-government applications along with electricity transmission & distribution systems in various member countries of the Bank with the last portfolio of more than US$ 100 million in 4 countries. I was responsible for managing multiple teams with an average size of 5 members located in different parts of the world. I have an overall working experience of more than 7 years in 16 countries.
