I’m a passionate builder of industry-changing products, teams, and partnerships to solve complex cross-domain challenges and disrupt markets. I thrive in results-oriented environments which value data-driven decision making, creativity, collaboration, integrity, and accountability. Nothing excites me more than bringing a solution to market and watching it improve people’s lives. Sometimes I do that as part of a larger team; sometimes alone. Sometimes these solutions are deeply rooted in emerging technology; sometimes they are not particularly technical. One thing each has: they solve quantifiable business problem for identifiable customers leading to both product and customer success. Seeing these solutions add value in real-life environments is my greatest professional joy. As a general-purpose problem solver, I develop whatever skills I need for the problems at hand. This causes me to struggle when asked, “what role are you best at?” For instance, after spending time with a customer to understand their business problem, I might design a more efficient business workflow, build a ruby application to support this activity, and then return to implement the plan. Then I might build a marketing plan to productize the solution for new customers. During these engagements, I’m typically doing work most associated with professionals in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering – yet I'm reluctant to define my abilities or interests to any single role in those disciplines. I'm most interested in opportunities with growing organizations seeking to solve complex problems in a sustainable, repeatable, and inclusive way.
