I'm a senior software engineer with 15+ years of professional C++ experience, now at Improbable building massively distributed simulation technology of a scale never attempted before. Previously I spent 4 years at Google, both in Site Reliability Engineering and Software Engineering, writing and running mission-critical servers at Google-scale QPS, low latency and high availability, giving me solid infrastructure and back end experience. Before Google I founded and ran a game development studio for ~9 years, where I wrote both our cross platform framework (Windows / OSX / Linux / iOS / Android) and game code for most of our titles, in addition to building and managing teams of developers and artists and dealing with third-party suppliers around the world. My academic background includes teaching Computer Graphics and giving guest lectures on selected Operating Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Architecture topics. My degree thesis was about efficient pathfinding in arbitrary 3D environments.
