About Howard University Ralph J. Bunche International Affairs Center: Howard University established an International Affairs Center in 1993 to serve as a focal point for the University's many and varied international activities and interests. It also serves as the primary coordinator for mid-long term study abroad for Howard University students...among other activities.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (Cloud/ CyberSecurity Consultancy) • Perform security event analysis and intrusion detection (IDS/IPS Incident response – triage, incident analysis, and remediation). •Advice and consult on how to develop reports, alerts, dashboards, tune, and other content to support the ongoing monitoring, management, and maintenance of the SIEM (Security Information & Event Management) platform. •Provide high level technical resolution for security alerts and SOC service requests. •Provides operational leadership to the execution of the CyberSecurity efforts and policy reviews & updates. •Identifies security risks, develops and implements security management practices including the measurement & monitoring of security protection measures. Understands the trade-offs required to manage levels of risk tolerance and risk exposure across the organization, and balance with risk investments. •Provide consultancy for Cloud computing deployment and security. •Develops and promotes security and privacy awareness training and education for all levels of team members and stake holders. •Have experience with: commonly accepted information security standards, practices, and guidelines, authentication and identity management practices, network security architecture, applications systems and database security. •Experienced in Risk/threat assessment processes and practices. Professional Experience (Information Technology) Substantial experience in systems analysis and design, object-oriented software design and development, network design and configuration, database management systems development (both online and client/server infrastructure), web design and administration, training as proven by many research projects and a number of “delivered” shareware products.
