I've been fortunate enough to spend over a decade in a field that has allowed me to explore multiple industries. From eCommerce, hospitality, restaurant, consumer packaged goods, automotive, non-profit, marine, agriculture, grocery and now healthcare. I have live-streamed a wrestling match in a public library, visited a bison farm, toured rice paddies, interviewed award-winning doctors about the COVID-19 pandemic on social media live streams, coordinated a live videogame match between children in inpatient care at the hospital and a NFL linebacker and more. At the end of the day though, for all of the keyboard and mouse-clicking, phone calls, texts and zoom chats - my job is about connections. It's about making meaningful relationships with my colleagues and coworkers to produce the best, most interesting, substantive and noteworthy results. On a personal level, it's also about finding meaning in the madness and making sure everyone has a meaningful seat at the table. My career has found me with titles with Social Media in them, but it's as much about good project management as it is knowing the platforms. It's about having fun and not taking any of this too seriously, while still delivering an awesome product. Above all else, it's about people. It's always about the people. My customers, my coworkers and myself. If you take good care of the people, everything else should fall into place.
