Marketing and business development veteran Daniel Lally is a co-founder of Cincinnati Social Media Inc., a group of social media developers and users from across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. With more than 20 years experience in national media, agency, and corporate practice, he also was senior consultant for HSR Business-to-Business, where he was spokesman for the agency’s second-largest client, Hobart. He also provided communication and strategic counsel for clients in financial services, telecom, and energy; led crisis communication for organizations from durable goods manufacturing to call center operators. As director of PR/marketing at luxury home products marketer Frontgate, Lally led the repositioning of the brand from niche retailer to lifestyle innovator. His efforts earned hundreds of millions of print impressions and placed products on major television shows and in big-studio Hollywood films. He appeared as a guest or presenter on network TV programs and was quoted in hundreds of newspaper and magazine features. While at Frontgate, Lally led business development efforts with other premium brands to bring affluent homeowners to the company’s buyer file. For the last three years of his tenure, he was charged with the marketing of a new category at Frontgate, growing the segment more than 1,000 percent in two years.
