As President of Commercial Development & Operations at Idis, Charles led teams building innovative partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies and re-entering the clinical trials supply business. He also managed sales, procurement and supplier/alliance management and was part of the core leadership team that stabilized the company and prepared it for successful sale. Charles was SVP Corporate Development at Mars and VP Corporate Development at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he led complex transactions that transformed BMS from a broad-based healthcare/consumer company to a bio-pharmaceutical business. Charles is a distinguished leader, strategist and negotiator, with a proven record of closing large, global transactions; re-entering a business line; identifying challenges and opportunities; and making operational improvements to drive growth. He holds a BA from Tufts University and a JD from Pace University.
