My passion for the sports industry is fueled by my longstanding belief that the sports industry should be a “leading” industry, not a “lagging” industry. Sports institutions should be pioneers across all business functions: sales, marketing, brand management, technology, finance, HR, operations, etc. Sports is the only industry where the customers organically want new ways to engage with your brand, will try your new innovations, and give you vociferous feedback – in both directions – as to what they think. And yet, while the face of America is changing - rapidly - sports is just scratching the surface of multiculturalism.
