My path to the insurance industry began with a focus on community. As a 2007 graduate of Tulane University, I learned early and often the importance of engaging with my community. Hurricane Katrina taught me about the collective spirit and decency of people when they pull together. It's that sense of community that led me to become an entrepreneur as a State Farm Agent. Owning a business has provided me unparalleled opportunity to connect with clients and community. While at Tulane, I learned a thing or two about numbers. . . getting my Masters in Accounting and my BSM in Finance. My first job after college was working as a tax accountant with Ernst & Young. But as much as I enjoy numbers, I enjoy community work more. In 2008, I rejoined the service-learning field as a member of State Farm's Education Leadership Team. My responsibilities included leading State Farm's Youth Advisory Board and State Farm Bank's Youth Partnership Board. Prior to becoming an agent, I was a young adult market analyst on State Farm's Young Adult Team. Interests? Varied and wide including sports of all kind, reading, travelling, music, meeting new people and talking about my two favorite cities - Chicago & New Orleans.
