Global Brigades, Inc (USA) was founded in 2007 as a California-based not-for-profit organization and achieved US 501c3 status in 2008. Prior to its creation, Global Brigades solely operated as a Honduran charitable organization as a division of Sociedad Amigos de los Ninos. Claire is a global scholar, entrepreneur and explorer. Her love of languages, culture and sustainable business development has led her to living, learning, working and volunteering in the Dominican Republic, China, Panama, Ghana, Brazil, Argentina, Nicaragua, Honduras and India. Claire graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California with her bachelor's degree in International Relations Global Business and Economics, with an emphasis in International Finance.She is currently pursuing her passions for and continues to expand her knowledge of social enterprise, impact investing, international development, and global technology for positive impact by working for Kiva.org. Claire is an enthusiast for scalable social and environmental impact and progress based on pragmatic strategy.
