Mr. Bujar Nushi (MSc.) is a senior Project Manager and Strategic Consultant Geo-Information, with 30 years of professional experience, of which more than 8 years in Kosova. Lately he started as Regional Service Manager Geo-IT & GIS services (Africa/Caspian/Europe) at Fugro Geotechnical Division. Previously, he was Department Manager Geo-ICT at Fugro GeoServices BV. Nushi was also responsible for GIS developments at DHV (www.dhv.com) and Strategic Consultant Geo-Information (Owner) at GeoVox Consultancy. Nushi spent more than 11 years at DHV. He started as an expert in the field of water management and Geo-information. He worked as a Senior Consultant and Project Manager in the field of Geo-information and he was involved in setting up the new modern Geo-ICT infrastructure of DHV BV.His work spans the whole Geo-information planning cycle: planning; implementation; enforcement, monitoring and evaluation. He is an acknowledged GIS expert and have worked in this field in the Netherlands (National, Provincial and Municipal level), and on several occasions for the different international organisations like: European Commission, USAID, EEA (European Environment Agency) etc. Nushi has worked in Russia, Azerbaijan, India, Albania and Kosovo, and he is looking forward to work in other countries as well. He has worked for a large number of integrated water projects in Balkans. Many of these projects included multi-sector infrastructure projects in the sectors of water supply and sanitation. Nushi has extensive knowledge of modern computer models and GIS mapping including the use of Remote Sensing. He was born in Kosovo and therefore is Albanian his mother tongue, although he is a Dutch national. Because of his Kosovo descent, he has extensive knowledge of the legal framework of and institutions in Kosovo and Albania which is of extreme importance for the successful implementation of complex projects.Specialties: Key qualifications are: Strategic Consultancy, Project Management, SDI's, INSPIRE, GIS, Remote Sensing, Water management, Spatial Planning, creativity, ability to improvise, languages.
