Clement (Clay) Ancri is Executive Director at Natixis CIB Americas, focused on regulatory credit risk. Prior to joining Natixis, Mr. Ancri was a senior credit risk and policy analyst at the Federal Reserve Board. He was the lead Risk and Policy analyst in Supervision & Regulation (S&R)'s Risk unit responsible for identifying the level of risk and trends associated with Leveraged Lending activity in the banking system. He also briefed Federal Reserve Governors and S&R Directors on leveraged lending risk. Prior to this role, he oversaw the leveraged lending portion of the Shared National Credit (SNC) examination. In 2020, he assisted with the design and implementation of the Main Street Lending Program (MSLP) as part of the Federal Reserve's COVID-19 crisis response efforts. In 2016, he was the Board S&R representative on a system-wide initiative on fintech tasked with identifying potential supervisory implications of financial innovation in marketplace lending, digital payments, Blockchain, and other fintech activities. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Board, he was the Deputy National Coordinator for the SNC Examination at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, overseeing key aspects of the SNC review process – including the determination of leveraged lending-related review findings and ensuing supervisory messages. He also worked as a Senior Wholesale Credit Risk Examiner for three years serving as Examiner-in-Charge for high priority credit risk supervisory reviews including SNC examinations. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, he worked for over ten years at multiple financial institutions, including GE Capital, Lehman Brothers, and Credit Suisse as well as the advisory unit of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he assumed various roles in credit risk and investment banking/capital markets. Clay is a native French speaker and holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University, and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
