My passion is helping others grow – professionally and personally. I am a seasoned corporate executive whose worked for a Fortune 500 company as well as held leadership roles in the public sector and has a successful track record in the areas of DEI, multicultural marketing, brand development, communications, government affairs, media and community relations and business development. As a Managing Partner at an award-winning women owned marketing & communications firm, I am able to leverage all my skills and talents to grow our company, our employees and our clients. My career spans over 20 years- from TV news to Politics to Corporate America to Entrepreneur - always leveraging my networking and communication skills to build relationships, programs and successful businesses. I have a proven track record for successfully growing brand awareness and consideration through effective messaging/story-telling, creative and authentic advertising and innovative experiences that are always culturally relevant to the target audiences. I have expertise in DEI as well as growing brands among multicultural audiences and other segments including women, LGBTQ+, veterans and entrepreneurs. I was appointed the first Latina Vice President at Farmers Insurance and helped build their Multicultural Department from the ground up. My team and I built successful B2C and B2B multicultural campaigns that grew the business and took us to first place among Latino consumers. My success comes from the work ethic my parents instilled in me at a very young age. I am an immigrant from Guadalajara Jalisco who was raised in the beautiful and diverse neighborhoods of Los Angeles. I consider myself a true Angelina who is bilingual and bicultural. I’ve been fortunate to hold numerous leadership titles throughout my career, but the two titles I’m most proud of are mother and mentor. My greatest successes are seeing my young adult kids give back to our community while growing their own careers as well as seeing many of my mentees become successful executives, business owners and elected/appointed officials. My passion for DEI, my Latino culture, women’s empowerment, health & well-being, children’s causes and youth mentorship are where most of my volunteer and financial efforts are focused.
