Essent levert gas, elektriciteit en energiediensten aan consumenten en bedrijven. Essent is onderdeel van het internationale energieconcern innogy. Nederland en België zijn onze thuismarkten. Een groot deel van de energie die Essent levert, produceren we zelf. Er werken zo’n 3.600 mensen bij Essent en we hebben een jaaromzet van 5,9 miljard euro (2012). Ons hoofdkantoor staat in 's-Hertogenbosch.Essent biedt haar medewerkers de beste werkplek van Nederland. Seasoned senior executive with extensive experience in various industries, nationally (Dutch) and internationally (i.e. Europe and US). Over the last twenty years, I have been involved in transforming several companies in the energy industry and in financial services (including asset management). With a strategic (marketing) perspective as a starting point and by default customer-driven, digital and fact-based, I nowadays have a proven track-record in: i. improving the operational performance of companies (a.o. profitability), as well as ii. the build-up of a leading marketing capability that improves customer experience, brand preference, the digital (channel) footprint of a company and the overall (accountable) impact of marketing on leading business objectives. My personal experience includes: designing and operationalizing (marketing) transformation programs, including digital marketing and marketing automation, business line management (P&L, HR, IT), the development of a commercial leadership capability within a company, company strategy, performance improvement programs (focus on improving P&L impact), marketing strategy, marketing management, brand development and innovation management. I have a special passion for the energy business, and it’s sustainable transition and for creating impact in society via financial services. Furthermore, I enjoy 'investment management projects'; acquiring, integrating, coaching and improving mid-sized companies on behalf of a shareholder (eg. like I did in the energy business with the Service Partners at Essent). Since 2009 I am regularly invited as a guest lecturer in the part-time MBA program as well as in the Executive Master of Marketing program of Tias School for Business & Society, Tilburg University.
