Edward Hospital & Health Services, part of Edward-Elmhurst Health, is a full-service, regional healthcare provider located in Naperville Illinois offering access to complex medical specialties and innovative programming. Edward Hospital has 317 private patient rooms and 4,300 employees, including 1,450 nurses and a medical staff of 920 physicians comprised of independent members of the medical staff, employed physicians and independent contractors. The physicians represent more than 60 medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. More than 98% of Edward s physicians are board certified in their specialty.

I am board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and Clinical Informatics (ABPM) and enjoy living in the Chicago metro area. My career has included tertiary, academic and high-volume, community emergency departments. I currently chair a 100K ED and serve as medical director of the hospital-wide patient experience department. My workload is evenly split between clinical shifts and administrative duties. I also enjoy being engaged on a national level to help improve both the profession of emergency medicine and the care patient's receive in emergency departments. I am a past president of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and regularly write and speak on patient safety and satisfaction topics. Before entering medical school, I earned a computer science degree and worked as a software programmer. I utilize this background to design communication software to assess patient wellbeing and experience and facilitate care continuity after a medical encounter.
