Brian Graves, founder of Everything But the House (EBTH), is an extremely hard worker (his first job was shining shoes at age 12) with a passion for collecting, an eye for design, and a mind for technology. He started EBTH – literally overnight – with his partner Jacquie Denny after being a customer of Jacquie's tag sale company for over a decade. EBTH allowed Brian to combine his passion for collecting, investing in, and reselling art & antiques with his hard-working entrepreneurial spirit, supported by his professional background in logistics & technology. Prior to establishing EBTH, Graves garnered experience in the world of secondhand as a thrift store junkie, collector, dealer, and broker basically transforming himself into a walking price guide for antiques. After starting EBTH, Brian attended the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering to become an auctioneer to further advance his knowledge of the resale industry. For Brian, the thrill comes from finding a home for EVERYTHING. As President of EBTH he is just as passionate to sell a $120 item as he is a $120,000 item, taking pride in extending the life of secondhand goods and playing a part in the transition from one caretaker to the next.
