John J. Agos is Chief Strategic Development Officer for the AmericanDiabetes Association (ADA), the global authority on diabetes. Since 1940, theADA has been committed to its mission—to prevent and cure diabetes andto improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Mr. Agos leads theADA’s Corporate Alliances, Grants, Major Donors, Foundations andTransformational Giving teams, forging innovative partnerships that allowthe ADA to achieve its mission and further solidify its leadership role in thediabetes community.An ardent supporter of the ADA throughout his career, Mr. Agos previously spent 15 years withSanofi, serving in several senior-level positions with an emphasis on patient health, advocacypartnerships, U.S. policy, business strategy and U.S. managed markets. His roles with Sanofiincluded Senior Director for Partners in Patient Health and Senior Director for U.S. Policy andStrategic Advocacy, building multi-stakeholder collaborations between physicians and careproviders, patients and families, pharmacists, and health advocates to interconnect capabilitiescritical to improving patient health. Prior to Sanofi, Mr. Agos led strategy development forproduct launches and consumer engagement as Senior Vice President and Managing Partner atQAS Consultant Group between 2002 and 2003. He also held several executive level roles at thePharmacia Corporation, The Upjohn Company and Pfizer.Mr. Agos earned his bachelor of science in biology from Rider University and The UpjohnCompany Executive Masters from Thunderbird University. He is a Member of the GrandonSociety with the Thomas Jefferson University College of Population Health. He is also a memberof the Board Leadership Council of the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute and TheCompassionate Care Foundation of New Jersey.
