The mission of the Detroit Public Schools (DPS) is todevelop a customer and data-driven student centered-learning environment, in which students are motivated to become productive citizens and life-long learners, equipped with skills to meet the needs of the next customer.

Offering a history of progressive experience in development and oversight of academic programs, policies, and initiatives to promote student growth and achievement. I have senior leadership experience serving students across multiple schools, with expertise in development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of challenging and inspiring curricula. I am a passionate education advocate successful in driving regulatory and standards compliance; directing instructional programs to meet student needs; and building top-performing teams committed to the academic success of each student. I am a confident professional who has always been regarded as a proactive, adaptable, direct and conscientious professional with a “can do” attitude and willingness to work and “lead by example”. I believe that it is essential to gain trust and respect from colleagues to create a positive working culture which will enhance and improve the business and its environment. I overcome challenges through a systematic, analytical and diligent approach - drawing on knowledge gained through experience and education. I am an articulate and diplomatic communicator with excellent planning skills. I consistently work to the highest professional standards and thrive when working as part of a cohesive team or as an individual, to ensure the application of industry standards. Considered to be a friendly, honest, trustworthy and hardworking individual with a common-sense approach to work. I manage to cope well under pressure, whilst still maintaining a good sense of humor and focus on the task requirements.
