I have recently taken on the position of General Manager, Pentant Limited, a leading CSP (Community System Provider) bringing IT solutions to the world of Import/Export. I am responsible for the commercial, technical and financial running of the business, contributing to business policy and development strategy. I am a highly competent commercial/account manager with over twenty years of experience in the fruit, shipping and logistics industries. A proven problem solver and team-player with very good people skills and excellent attention to detail. Extremely customer service focused In my previous role of Distribution Manager for MMD (Shipping Services) Ltd I head a team of Account Managers who look after the distribution and transport needs of several multi-national fruit importers such as Dole, Del Monte and Fyffes, as well as high street names like Tesco and Asda, who import their fruit into the UK through the port of Portsmouth. As manager of the customer facing side of MMD my role involves liaising with the customers and internal departments to maximise efficiencies in the logistics, and develop new revenue streams, be that in terms of road distribution, warehousing, or shipping. I have been instrumental in the development and application of a revolutionary ‘track and trace’ IT system.
