IT Procurement Specialist with a vast experience of sourcing systems, solutions and services to support the organisation's digital strategy. Experience of end-to-end OJEU processes and the use of appropriate public sector frameworks to source products and services compliant with Public Contracts Regulations 2015. I create and enhance business cases for sourcing project funding, translating business requirements into considerations and implications on existing and future technologies. My background is IT infrastructure, for 8 years having previously led a team of 23 engineers to support business-as-usual and infrastructure development activity. I can offer a broad understanding of how an IT department needs to operate to be successful; technically, in compliance, securely, efficiently and with excellent customer service. Procurement, since the start of 2017 has become a valuable addition to my skillset. I have assisted and led several procurement activities from straightforward RFQs for software renewals to OJEU tenders and providing sourcing strategies to procure specialist research equipment. I work closely with Procurement to ensure ethical and sustainable products are sourced whilst meeting the IT requirements to enable the business to thrive. My career backdrop is public sector and in particular within Higher Education. Having years of knowing how public sector organisations traditionally operate, I'm also an ambassador for change and how business-critical this is for organisations to stay competitive and high-performing, whilst being cost efficient and compliant.
