I was confident in that promise because I’ve delivered results in a variety of situations: • Fortune 500 size, mid-tier, launching new sales units • Small-staff to marketing departments of 30+ people • Based in U.S. and as Ex-Pat in EMEA • Manufacturer, distributor, and solution provider levels in the channel We definitely got it done: • Doubled the content on our website, achieved top 5 Google rankings for our key solutions/services, established social media presence • Branded and launched our market-leading SmartView solution • Created sales collateral to fuel ongoing lead generation campaigns • Managed tracking infrastructure (Salesforce.com, web, email) The customer base reflected our success: • Four of the top five cable and direct-broadcast companies • One of the largest business/residential VoIP service providers • SmartView solution deployed in the world’s largest energy company, world’s largest beverage company, and largest U.S. city All of that opened the eyes and raised the eyebrows of companies looking for acquisitions in our space. That’s what our CEO said when he publicly credited marketing as a key reason we had been acquired. That wasn’t one of my MBOs, but quite an accomplishment. So, I’ve added the VP Sales and Marketing to my list of references. He’s a hard-driving, always makes the numbers, pull no punches guy. I like that. Plus, after saying “The difference is that you get it and you get it done”, he added “You are the best Director of Marketing I’ve ever worked with and my Sales team says the same thing.” I really like that.
