I am an executive financial leader with over 25 years of experience across corporate finance, risk management, accounting, information technology and financial planning and analysis. My career includes significant contributions to large publicly traded organizations and launches of smaller public companies. My expertise includes managing rapid growth, change management, financial and reporting complexity. Recently, I've led the CVR Energy, CVR Refining and CVR Partners finance and accounting and information technology teams in establishing a nimble and innovated leadership team bringing process improvements through simplification, standardization and automation. Efforts focused on consolidation of remote SG&A offices, centralization and rationalization are improving cross functional collaboration, efficiency and rationalization efforts to create capacity for further value creation. Previously, I led the accounting organization for Tesoro Corporation and Tesoro Logistics, LP, a refining, logistics and marketing group of companies. In this role I was focused on improving operations, changing the tone and accessibility of the organization and growing a strong leadership team. Successes include creating an accounting operations excellence team that drove the monthly close cycle from more than 30 days down to a consistent 6 day cycle. In addition, team moral was significantly improved through improved work hours and a clear commitment to the growth and development of individuals. I spend a lot of time understanding the business, team member motivators and focusing on building environments that foster continuous improvement in both. I have an MBA as well as a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas San Antonio.
