CSM operates in 60 locations with over 9,500 employees worldwide. The North American division, Bakery Supplies North America (BSNA), is active in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. The division develops, produces and sells a wide selection of bakery ingredients and products to professional bakeries, top consumer food companies, grocers and retailers. BSNA is organized into three operating companies organized around customer channel: CSM Bakery Products in Atlanta, Georgia, is focused on Grocery, Retail Stores and Food Service| Caravan Ingredients in Kansas City is focused on ingredients for wholesale bakeries and industrial food manufacturers| and BakeMark USA is focused on distribution. BSNA operates 21 factories in the U.S. and has two production locations in Canada. In addition, BakeMark USA operates 20 distribution centers across the U.S and Canada. The BSNA Operational Companies are led by a divisional organization, located in Kansas City. BSNA has approximately $2.1 billion in revenue and 5,000 employees.
Extensive experience driving financial results for top tier manufacturing and supply chain, public and private equity companies, including General Electric, Heinz and CSM Bakery. Led financial operations for multi-site plants, regions and countries and implemented global, enterprise-wide best practices, systems and continuous improvement initiatives. Lived in Mexico and Spain; culturally diverse through supporting operations in Mexico, Europe, India and South Africa. Bilingual – Spanish- Provided financial leadership for business unit start-ups, plant closings, division consolidations and turn arounds; supported mergers/acquisitions from due diligence through integrations.- Developed numerous process improvements across a wide range of operations including supply chain, inventory levels, capital investments, cash management and international operations.- Established effective financial reporting tools and processes for sales commissions, product mix, customs reconciliations, KPI’s and monthly score cards.- Implemented several financial systems including Oracle in Mexico operations and SAP for North American operations.- Completed two-year General Electric Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) while maintaining full-time line responsibilities; trained in Six Sigma and GE’s other continuous improvement initiatives.
