Crabtree & Evelyn is an international retailer of body, fragrance and home care products with stores, founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1955.

David is currently the Global CEO of Crabtree & Evelyn. David joined Crabtree & Evelyn in 2015 as Regional CEO, Americas, and Global Head of the Supply Chain. After the rapid turnaround of the North American business, David assumed the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer in March, 2016, and of Global CEO in September. Prior to Crabtree & Evelyn, David was the CEO of Ouidad, the original Salon Hair company focused on the needs of Curly Hair. During his tenure, Ouidad operated two owned salons, expanded their distribution and education programs nationally, saw dramatic growth in their wholesale business, and continued to pioneer solutions for Curly Haired women. David was the Regional Executive Officer, Americas/EMEA and VP of Flagship Brands for Kao Corporation, the $15bn Tokyo-based consumer products company. In his role as Regional Executive Officer, David managed Kao’s Mass Beauty Brand Portfolio, including the John Frieda, Jergens, Biore, Curel, Guhl and Ban brands, across the Americas, Australian and Europe/Middle East regions. In his role as VP Flagship Brands, David had global P&L responsibility for the John Frieda and Jergens brands, and directly manages the Global Strategic, NPD-Innovation, Advertising, Creative, Market Research, and Digital teams. Earlier in his career, David was CEO of Endeavors, Inc., a privately held manufacturing and distributor of premium private label home and personal care products. Prior to founding Endeavors, David spent 11 years at Unilever, where he held a number of high-profile leadership positions both in the United States and the United Kingdom, including: President and CEO of the Unilever/iVillage joint venture, VP of Interactive Marketing and E-Commerce, and Director of New Brand and Business Development in Home and Personal Care. David is a Honors graduate of Brown University, received an MBA in Marketing/Finance from Columbia University, and spent two terms at Cambridge University in England.
