The successful ones come from focused strategies that are organized around a well defined and validated market and a clear engine of growth. Technology priorities must integrate what advances the business, accelerates learning, and supports the development of the code base. There is no single “right way” to build software, only what is right for each organization. I believe that businesses are human enterprises and that emotional intelligence is an essential element of effective leadership. After all of the data has been gathered, poured over, and analyzed there is a lot of wisdom in our intuition if we learn how to listen to it.
