Information Technology Leader with 8+ years of management experience with a strong technical engineering background of more than 15+ years of hands-on experience in the technlogy field across multiple industries with complex verticals. Even though I've been managing departments, teams, process and policy I've always maintained an edge keeping technical skills up to date. Having an engineering background, in my experience, has been an invaluable tool allowing me to build strong teams whether through cultivating internal resources through skill development or successful recruiting practices. I've been able to foster trust with individuals and management staff which allowed me to create a positive culture and maintain high morale with a sense of comraderie within the department. Having that background also allows me to appreciate the complexities and level of effort involved with technology initiatives and projects overall. This is key when dealing with high demands with lean staffing as accurately scoping projects and conveying accurate information to business stakeholders, senior leadership and C-level / BoD is crucial to successful outcomes. Forging and maintaining strategic relationships with partners and vendors is a keystone to a well run IT organization and being able to successfully navigate through the "pitch" to the truth of the offering then tactically negotiate terms has also allowed me to significant drive cost savings and broker unheard of discounts. I have a passion for technology and IT architecture and ensuring it works in lockstep with business driven goals and needs - I wish to be challenged: Give me problems to solve, processes to improve and the means to build a team or adopt an existing one and I'm in my element.
