I actively researches in numerical modelling, analysis and design of positive displacement machines with focus on CFD modelling and parametric design of twin screw machines. In past I worked with more than 50 industrial companies through the Centre for Positive Displacement Compressor Technology at City University. My industrial projects span from the small project on numerical or experimental analysis of positive displacement screw machines, to design of families of compressors for the industry to forming and leading Research enterprises within companies. Currently I advise Howden Compressors Ltd, a major UK compressor manufacturer, on Research and Development activities of screw compressors. I am the director of teh Centre for Compressor Technology at City University of London and the thairman of the renowned International Conference on Compressors and their Systems I am the Director of PDM Analysis Ltd, spin out company from City, University of London My educational interest is developing the design excellence of engineering undergraduate and postgraduate students and education with industrial research. I authored or co-authored 7 books and book chapters, more than 50 Journal Papers, over 1500 Conference Papers and more than 100 Industrial Reports. I holds rights to several patents in the area of positive displacement machines, and have received 9 awards for best papers published in various journals and conferences including IMechE, ASME and World Geothermal Congress.
