Casella Waste Systems, Inc., headquartered in Rutland, Vermont, provides solid waste management services consisting of collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling services in the northeastern United States.

Experience in the resource recovery and sustainability fields launching, managing, and leading successful, profitable and award winning organizations on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, governmental agencies, start-ups, and NGOs throughout the world.Currently Senior Vice President of Development and Strategy for Casella, a Vermont based company that provides recycling, organic residual management, and resource recovery solutions to over 200,000 customers in the Northeast. Serve on Board of Directors of GreenerU, and Goodwill Industries of NNE. Prior to joining Casella, a Managing Director with Waste Management’s (WM) Organic Growth Group, where responsibilities included serving on the senior leadership teams of WM’s Upstream Sustainability Services and Greenopolis Recycling Technology divisions. From 1990 to 2001, a Senior Scientist with Tellus Institute, a global environmental research and consulting NGO; advised agencies and businesses on emerging best practice and policies related to sustainable product and material recovery, recycling, and reuse. Received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Co-founded the University of Vermont's "Vermont Student Environmental Program" in 1988, and Tuck's "Business and Sustainability Initiative" in 2002.
