I am a quick learner and adaptable to changing situations and environments. I am a self-starter that is willing to take on new projects in order to learn, grow, and help my team. I work well both independently and as part of a team. My role in my current position has grown extensively over the years as I have taken on different duties, responsibilities, and projects. I now work closely with both engineering and maintenance to ensure all needs are being met. I fill in for the accountant when she is gone and have taken on many of the accountant duties in an effort to alleviate some of the workload while providing greater checks and balances. In order to ready myself for more accounting duties, I plan to attend courses to receive a certificate in governmental accounting. In addition to the administrative duties, I have taken on the department's GIS. I have learned to use ArcMap and have worked with GIS professionals to grow our GIS use and capacity. I have created several maps, the county platbook, and have pushed to move forward into ArcGIS Online to have access to the many tools and apps available there. I am excited about several of the GIS projects planned in the near future.
