As the company scaled, the challenges varied and I had an opportunity to work on solving a number of different problems across the business and eventually became part of the executive team focused on program management and reported to the CEO and CFO. In June 2015, the CEO of a seed-stage startup (with whom I had worked closely at Carbonite) recruited me to join as VP Customer Success, because he viewed me as 'versatile, customer-centric operational glue.' The diversity of experience I had at Carbonite makes it hard to fit me into one of the traditional categories but I think that’s a good description of my talent and mindset. I can solve for many of the critical needs that arise in the messy, awkward, adolescent stage that high growth companies go through (usually around the Series B).
