Dr. Anderson focused on psychological disorders common to children during the first three years of his graduate studies. He then switched his focus to traumatic stress and related disorders. Dr. Anderson was a recipient of the Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program, and he completed his predoctoral internship with the United States Air Force at Wilford Hall, Lackland Air Force Base. His first assignment was to Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS), providing clinic-based and educational services to children of US military families in the United Kingdom. He also served as a clinical psychologist in the Mental Health Clinic and provided integrated behavioral health services in the Pediatrics Clinic. Dr. Anderson completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric integrated primary care at Geisinger Health System in 2017. Dr. Anderson joined the Behavioral Pediatrics Program at Rochester Regional Health in 2017 as a staff psychologist. In that capacity, he focuses on using evidence-based treatments and evidence-informed strategies in addressing a variety of behavioral health concerns, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders, sleep problems, disruptive behaviors, and anxiety disorders. In the fall of 2018, Dr. Anderson began a part-time solo private practice. This has expanded over time from providing therapy to a few individuals/families one day a week to offering a variety of services throughout Steuben and Allegany counties several days a week.
