Director & Head of Development at British Land and a member of the Group Executive & Investment Committees. As Head of Developments he is responsible for the Group’s UK development activities. This includes assessing and negotiating new development opportunities and leading the planning, construction & leasing of the Group’s development projects. British Land is one of Europe’s biggest REITS and has one of the largest development programs in the UK. Nigel has over 30 years experience in property investment and development and has been responsible for over 15m sq ft of development including some of London's landmark buildings, including The Leadenhall Building ("the Cheesegrater"), The Broadgate Tower, The Willis Building, Ropemaker Place, development of the Regents' Place estate, the new 700,000 sq ft UK headquarters for investment bank UBS at 5 Broadgate and the super prime residential development, Clarges, Mayfair.
