Risk professional with extensive experience in the UK banking/asset management sectors across both second and first line of defence roles, with a strong ability to engage collaboratively across multiple teams and management levels. - Managing Director and member of the BBB Senior Leadership Team with experience as Acting CRO for 10 month period, pending arrival of new CRO, sitting on ExCo and leading a team of risk professionals. - Experience in reporting to both Board and Board subcommittees and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. - Embedding risk management culture and methodologies during the substantial growth of BBB - Comfortable operating in a fast paced and unstructured environments - Strong technical knowledge across a range of products and risk types, and holds the GARP Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification, with an effective ability to deliver key messages to non-technical audiences. Focus areas include: - BBB Risk Management Framework - Board and Board Risk Committee reporting - Risk assessment of BBB Business Plan and objectives - Enterprise Risk, RCSAs, non-financial risks - Transaction due diligence and assessment across both debt and venture capital programmes - Portfolio monitoring/Financial Risk In H1 2014 I completed an interim role with National Australia Bank across a range of projects on their Real Estate loan book. 2009 to 2014 I focussed on Real Estate Credit Risk during the restructuring of IBRC (formerly Anglo Irish Bank). Particular attention on workout cases, analysing recovery strategies, asset quality classification and impairment provisions. Group Risk representative on UK Credit Committee, and managed a team of 3 people covering Credit Underwriting, Credit Secretariat and Credit Reporting. Eight years prior Relationship Management experience within Private Banking at Deutsche Bank across a range of functions, with a latter focus on Family Offices, and working with a number of asset classes. Lead coordinatior across a number of successful €1bn+ RFP mandates, coordinating Wealth Management and Investment Banking colleagues in London and Europe.
