BMI Healthcare is an independent provider of private healthcare, and offers treatment to private patients, medically insured patients, and NHS patients.
A seasoned, accomplished ICT Service Delivery Professional, I currently lead a 40+person team and supervise all ICT services delivery to 10K customers of a major Healthcare company across 60+ sites throughout the UK. Previous professional experience has included working in different sectors including engineering consultancy services and barcoding and labelling technology. I continuously assess our systems and infrastructure capabilities against what customers need today and tomorrow, and to identify where and how I can rationalize and consolidate IT systems to cut costs. A large part of my role revolves around aligning innovative, transformative technology to defined current and future business needs. Within that, of course, are the key elements of engaging with stakeholders, across all levels from c-suite to end user, to understand and respond to their service requirements, selecting a forward-looking solutions mix that delivers an outstanding User Experience now and in the future. Aside from physical IT, other key elements I both drive and contribute to are seeking ways to the enhance the day to day IT Service and Project delivery elements to ensure the processes and implementation of these are regularly reviewed and any opportunities for improvement are realised. Another part of my role, considering the world we live in today with the ever increasing risk of cyber threats and emphasis on information security, is leading the company's response to cyber incidents, assessing and reviewing risk for both current and new solutions and achieving and maintaining the relevant accreditations i.e. ISO27001 / Cyber Essentials. Common to all of this is training and mentoring teams to operate solutions mixes that evolve as business and customer needs evolve. I like to hire smart people, mentor and motivate them, and give them the responsibility and accountability to do their jobs. Fortunately I have a strong technical foundation to support my business and management role. I've nine years solid experiences in IT and IG consulting, infrastructure and server engineering before taking on my services management role in 2012. I'm skilled at business transformation and process change and truly enjoy working on them. I like to be involved in things that bring positive change and make a difference to people's lives.
