Kate Walsh is president and CEO of the Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS), an academic health system dedicated to underserved populations. A vocal advocate for health equity and reform, Kate is leading major organizational change and creating a culture that inspires employees to be innovative, agile and compassionate. Prior to joining BMCHS in 2010, Kate was the EVP and COO at Brigham and Women’s/Faulkner Hospitals, COO at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, and an SVP at Massachusetts General Hospital. She earned a BA in Urban Studies and an MPH from Yale University.
