Bon App _ tit Management Company is a restaurant which offers on-site full food-service management to corporations, universities, and specialty venues.

I'm the director of communications for Bon Appétit Management Company, which New York Times writer Mark Bittman called “the most principled food services company in the country” thanks to its pioneering commitments to sustainable seafood, cage-free eggs, fighting antibiotics in animal agriculture, and to farmworker rights, among other commitments. I oversee external and internal messaging, direct media relations, manage the BAMCO brand via social media, implement strategic partnerships, and assist the executive leadership with speeches, presentations, and opinion pieces. Since joining BAMCO in January 2011, I have helped secure major stories by the New York Times, Washington Post, Travel + Leisure, CNBC, The Motley Fool, Fast Company, and many other national and regional outlets. Previously I was food editor at Grist, deputy editor of Edible San Francisco, and cofounder of one of the very first food-politics blogs, The Ethicurean (I still Tweet under @ethicurean). My freelance food-politics writing has appeared in the Washington Post, Mother Jones, San Francisco Chronicle, and elsewhere. I continue to manage Clark Summit Farm’s meat CSA as a volunteer.
