Nate Williams is an entrepreneurial executive and independent investor/advisor. He is currently the CRO & Head of Business at August Home, Inc. a leader in access control. Since 2015, Nate has led the Sales, Business Development, and Platform PM teams and helped secure August commercial growth with market leaders such as Airbnb, Walmart, Amazon, Honeywell Security, and Google. Prior to August, Nate was CMO & Head of Business at Greenwave Systems and Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development at Google subsidiary Motorola Mobility following their acquisition of 4Home in 2010. Earlier in his career, he was a Financial Analyst in the Digital Home Group of Intel Corp. and an agent trainee in the mailroom of the famed Hollywood talent agency William Morris. Outside of August, Nate is an active angel-investor and board advisor to companies in “frontier tech” (IoT, AR/VR, blockchain, etc.) including Matterport, Roost, Cirrent, Data Science, and Savor Labs. He is also a board advisor to the Internet of Things Consortium, a mentor to Techstars, and a volunteer for the Peninsula Velo Bicycle Club. Nate earned a MBA from The UCLA-Anderson School of Management and a BS in Communication Science from The University of Connecticut. He is named in several Smart Home patents, entrepreneurial, and comfortable building cross-functional teams introducing products under significant market uncertainty.
