I am the CEO of Assurance and have been fortunate enough to hold this role since 2001. In my opinion, it is the greatest job in the world. Prior to starting at Assurance in 1996, I was an underwriting supervisor at a national insurance company where my insurance career began in 1992. By the collective hard work of our employees and clients, Assurance has grown into one of the largest insurance brokerages in the United States. We place over $1.4 billion in premiums annually for businesses and individuals, and we are staffed by over 450 of the brightest and most competitive people in the industry. My driving ideology for Assurance is a complete and dedicated focus on creating value for our clients by minimizing the risk to their company and maximizing the health of their company. We have been lucky enough to receive numerous awards and accolades as a 'top place to work' from Fortune Magazine, Crain’s Chicago Business, the Business Ledger, Business Insurance and the National Alliance for Business Resources.I received my undergraduate degree in finance and philosophy from Benedictine University (IBC) in 1992, my law degree from Kent Law School in 1997, and my MBA from Northern Illinois University in 2003. I am a member of both Vistage International since 2003 and Young Presidents Organization (YPO) since 2012. I received my Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America.I am active in many charities as a board member and fundraiser. My endeavours focus mainly on causes that help children and families in need. I am a proud parent of three wonderful children adopted from China.
